Pure Barre

Pure Barre

Barre classes seem to be all the rage recently and I know why. I’ve been doing Pure Barre since June and I am obsessed. In April I ran my first marathon and was a little burnt out on running and wanted to try something new.

Barre was perfect, the small intricate movements, the intense focus on certain muscles, and the fact that you can feel your body change is what has kept me coming back. If you’re new to barre make sure you pay close attention to the instructors, it really is all about the right form. I’ve found the more I go the taller I feel and the better my posture gets. Make sure you wear long pants or capris, no shorts (as is dress code) and socks. I suggest the ones they have because they have grips on the bottom which is helpful. Any studio I’ve ever been to has carpet but there are some with wooden floors so things can get slippery. Besides those tips, have fun and enjoy an insane workout! Get ready to tone.lift.burn.
